Chontelle & Rikki’s Clumber Park Engagement Shoot
Chontelle and Nikki are getting married this February at the beautiful 16th century mansion, Whitley Hall. This is a great venue for an intimate wedding in its secluded grounds. Log fires and period architecture make it a great place to have a cosy winter wedding.
In the lead-up to the wedding, we decided to do their engagement shoot in Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire. These portrait shoots are ideal for breaking the ice before the wedding day, learning a bit more about each other, and a good time to chat about plans for the wedding day.
Clumber Park is a great place for portraits as there are numerous different areas and terrains. If you keep to the peripheral of the actual park you can find some nice secluded spots without another sole in sight. Perfect for couples who are a bit more conscious about having their photo taken in public.
For their shoot, I decided to keep things simple and shoot with just one 50mm prime lens and my Broncolor Move mobile lighting to add a bit of fill light if required. We were lucky to have some nice hard low winter sun which created a bit more atmosphere in the shots.
